Giggling

Oh, that giggle!!!  It melts my heart. <3  It's a sound that every mother adores, but for an adoptive family it is ALL the more meaningful. There was a time when he didn't know how to giggle or laugh or respond to tickles or kisses. But now....now his heart is safe and full of hope and joy. His little spirit knows His Father's love through his momma's cuddles...and jokes that only 5 year-olds laugh at. I could listen to this giggle ALL. DAY. LONG.

Daffodil Parade

I love having friends who respond to a 8:30pm-"Hey, whatchya doing tomorrow? Want to take the boys to a parade"-text with "Sure, we'll be at your house at 9am."  :)  So to the Daffodil Parade we went!  Front row seats, almost in the sun, with a couple of hams who enjoyed every minute of the two hour parade. A good way to spend a Sunny Spring Saturday.
We are ready for a parade!

Parade-going is not to be taken lightly!

There is Room for Everyone

Below are some photos taken by a mother recently in China. These were the rooms…specifically the plywood mattress beds…that her child and countless others slept on.

Plywood.

Think about that for a minute…

This is the harsh reality that so many of our children come from...and what defines their healing when they are finally HOME.

Adoption is beautifully ugly and is not to be taken lightly...but there is room for EVERYONE to be involved in caring for the orphan.

Please pray about how you can do so.
