We've had our life on hold a bit waiting to see how the transition into kindergarten would go. Since Isaac has done so amazing well, we escaped for a long weekend over the mountains to find fall...and we hit the jackpot!
We hiked around the forest and found a waterfall still raging after a recent series of storms. It was big enough that Isaac kept signing and SAYING "Oh-SHun! Oh-SHun!"
We hiked through the wood surrounding our hotel as well. It's fun to be almost 6 and to run through the trees!
There was lots of swimming in the hotel pool (guess who can kick the length of the pool and back all by himself?!), and rich delicious foods. I even took a nap--unheard of! It was a great little weekend away.
