It's official...my baby is in his double digits; he is a baby no more.
This last year has been such a year of growth for Isaac, physically, academically and emotionally. And honestly, I think I can thank the COVID shutdown for most of it. Letting him eat and learn at his own pace through homeschooling has added nearly 4 inches in height, two shoe sizes and stacks of beginning books that he can read on his own! And while he is still a rambunctious puppy ball of energy, there is a maturity that has come over him in the last year that is precious to behold---he pulls out the chair for his sister, walks the nanny to her car, opens the car door & waves her good bye, he stops and listens and ponders, he is starting to tell jokes and pull pranks, he sings the Doxology at dinner and keeps weekly written correspondence with a short list of people. He is somehow the goofballiest 10 year old gentleman I've every met. (Gentleman-iest goofball?) He is my favorite boy ever.
