Day 7. Isaac continues to do amazingly well. I am so very blessed by his sweet spirit and strong attachment. It's almost been too easy...clearly the Lord's hand is upon us. He is working on walking on his own and will toddle two or three steps on his own between Gramma & Auntie Jessie. When he makes it he squeals with delight then reaches for me. His all time favorite spot is in the MeiTei baby carrier. I've taken to calling it the Chinese Exo-Womb! We sweat like dogs together in it, but that he wants to stare into my face and listen to the beat of my heart is more than I could ever ask for.

Isaac also met Auntie Ange, aka Flat Ange this week. It was beyond cute! I pulled out the photo and he grabbed it and studied it, looked at me for a moment and then kissed her face (I hope you are crying right now Ange!) In the family book I sent some months ago all the important people in his life were documented. I know he recognized her face and I'm thrilled that he already has the faces of those who love him written in his memory. And in just 8 short weeks, he'll meet his Auntie Ange face to face!

While we wait for Isaac's passport, we continue to visit the American Coffee House a couple times per day...for the cheese and the Bread. I'll be able to write in more detail why it is such an important place once we return.
Tomorrow we fly to the US Consulate in Guanzhou. That 90minute flight will be a good test flight for the long trip home next week. Please continue to pray for Isaac's transition as we move to a new environment for the remainder of our trip, for favor over official proceedings and for health over each of us.
